Manaslu region is the richness of natural beauty. But it was only opened from 1991 onwards for the trekkers. This trek begins from Gorkha, 6 hours drive from Kathmandu. Gorkha is the home land of Prithvi Narayan Shah, is the hero of modern Nepal. He managed many wars to unite the scattered state to make the modedrn unite Nepal.Before start trek to Manslu, trekkers go to visit the ancient Palace of King Prithvi Narayan Shah; Gorkha Durbar(Gorkha palace). Manaslu (8156m) is the famous mountain above 8000m. This trek is really adventurous and wonderful trek because of its natural setting. Larkya La (5215m) is fully covering with snow is the most wonderful in this trek. It is the highest point of Manaslu trek. Spactacular viewing the neighbouring moutains and peaks is most attractive and life time remarable from this point.
It is fully organised trek because lack of available of hotels and lodges. Duration of this trek generally becomes 22 to 25 days. Permit is compulsary from government authorised trekking company to trek in this region.
